Humility
Included is this teaching is equality.
Also referred to as humility of the spirit and conduct (literally " pitifulness in attitude") .
Opposites are jealousy, vanity, and self-importance.
We should ever strive to be humble, to remember that we are no greater then the rest of creation, of other life.
Attitudes of superiority have lead to our present ecological problems, have given others an excuse to br prejudiced, have led to world war, suffering and the extinction of animal species.
Acting in humility, we take only what we need, give prayer and thanksgiving for what we take from Mother Earth; consider our actions upon all life, the future generations; always leave something for others and for the future.
This teaching was passed on to us by our friend Hitakonanu'laxk
(Treebeard).
Wanishi nimaxta. (Thank you brother.)
